Kit Camp at Camp Kerith

Summer days have never been so sweet!

Seize the day with endless fun at Camp Kerith’s Kit Camp

Come experience the classic New England camp experience — thoughtfully designed for today’s families. From the moment you arrive, you’ll notice something different: wooded trails, open fields, fresh air, and a rhythm that helps kids slow down, engage, and grow.

At Camp Kerith’s Kit Camp, days are full of fun, connection, and meaningful experiences. Kids ages 5–15 will try new activities, build confidence, explore the outdoors, and connect with God through Christ-centered programs and intentional mentorship.

Younger campers (ages 5–7) are introduced to classic camp activities in a supportive, age-appropriate environment, while older campers grow through new challenges, deeper friendships, and experiences that stretch and shape them.

And just beyond the bustling fields and sunlit trails, Camp Kerith’s Overnight Camp carries that same heartbeat — offering even more space for adventure, belonging, and lasting growth.

A Camp Experience That Lasts Beyond the Day

Camp Kerith is where curiosity is encouraged, confidence is built, and friendships are formed — all in a safe, Christ-centered environment where kids are invited to take the next step in their faith.

Kit Camp runs Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM–5:15 PM each day (with extended care options available) and is conveniently located near I-95 in Lyman, Maine — making it easy for families while still feeling worlds away.

Each day is thoughtfully designed so campers can:

  • Try new things and build confidence
  • Form meaningful friendships
  • Experience the outdoors in a hands-on way
  • Grow in their understanding of faith

For campers ready for more, Overnight Camp is available during select weeks — offering deeper adventure, stronger community, and even more opportunities for growth.

Experience Kit Camp Before The Summer

Come experience Camp Kerith firsthand at our Kit Camp Open House on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM, and see what a week at camp really feels like. This open house is designed for families to explore camp, meet our team, and help kids feel comfortable and excited before summer begins.

Throughout the day, you’ll be able to walk through key areas of camp, including drop-off and pick-up locations, the Health Center, Rally Tent, Gaga court, overnight cabins, target sports range, arts & crafts, nature life skills, waterfront, and more.

Kids will also have the opportunity to participate in guided activities like games, canoeing, crafts, nature skills, a short Bible lesson, and a hike — giving them a real taste of the camp experience.

We’ll also have a brief introduction from the Camp Director to share the heart behind Kit Camp and how we care for campers throughout the week.

Whether you’re already registered or still considering camp, this is a great way to step into the environment, ask questions, and picture your child here this summer.

What safety protocols are in place?

Your child’s safety is our #1 priority! All staff go through a thorough interview process, including reference checks and background checks. Camps have nurses on-site as well as strong relationships with local emergency responders in the rare case that your child needs medical attention. We follow all standards put forth by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services for student-to-counselor ratios, staff qualifications, safety, and more.

What are the drop-off and pick-up times for Camp Kerith?

Morning drop-off is between 7:45 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. each day, and afternoon pickup is between 4:45 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. Extended care from 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. is available as an add-on.

Are meals included?

No, we ask that parents send packed lunches and any desired snacks with their child to camp each day.

What is a typical day like at Camp Kerith?

Days at Camp Kerith are anything but boring! Day camp starts off with a morning rally, which includes singing and principle-based Bible teaching. Then, campers are divided up into age groups and dive into a day full of structured skill-building activities—think things like riflery, archery, canoeing, and crafting. Breaks are scheduled throughout the day for lunch and time at the beach. The day ends with a closing rally and hanging out with new friends while students wait for parent pick-up—so they can do it all again tomorrow!

How will my child learn about the Bible?

Each day at camp includes group chapel times with worship and Bible teaching, time for small group discussion and application, and dedicated Christian staff members speaking personally into the lives of campers. We welcome and accept campers at every stage of their faith journey. Our camps are highly invitational, encouraging campers to think about God, life’s big questions, and what their next steps of faith might be in the safety of an authentic community.
