The Den at Camp Kerith
A 2-week residential camp for boys aged 7-17.
Strong. Steady. Ready.
The Den is a place of safety & strength for boys on their way to becoming men of character & faith. They will be trained not only in wildnerness and recreational skills- but also skills of the Christian faith.
Through a variety of pursuits, boys will navigate their way through the stages of The Den:
- Chipmunks - Wild. Curious. Playful.
- Beavers - Hard-working. Grounded. Intentional.
- Bobcats - Patient. Stealthy. Independant.
- Bears - Strong. Wise. Influential.
A classic boys camp experience with a twist of Faith.
The Den at Camp Kerith is a rare opportunity for boys to spend an extended period of time in a place that merges outdoor mentorship and Christian mentorship together.
And we believe this is best done in a safe community with strong mentors.
They will learn practical skills such as
- ranges (archery, hatchets, BB guns)
- campfire building
- navigation
- boating
As well as Biblical disciplines like
- studying Scripture
- teaching Bible lessons
- worship
- Living out your faith
As the boys progress through The Den, they will become equipped to train and lead others in these endeavors.

Is The Den for groups?
Yes, Cub Camp at Camp Kerith is designed around group activities and group bonding. However, we welcome all kinds of groups, from church groups to parent-led small groups.
Do I have to be affiliated with a church to register?
No! Though youth groups/student ministries make up a large percentage of our attendees, we love welcoming parent-led groups as well. If you’re 1) a group 2) of youth, we’re here for you!
Is there a minimum group size?
Nope. We follow Jesus’s definition of “if two or three are gathered.” :) Each group is required to have at least one leader per group, so the smallest group possible is one parent and one student.
How many chaperones are required for each group?
We require a ratio of 1 leader per 10 students. Groups must have a leader for each accommodation, so if you bring both male and female campers, you must also bring a male and female leader.
How long is Cub Camp?
Cub Camp takes place over a weekend, from Friday to Sunday.
What time is arrival and departure?
Groups arrive between 7:00 and 9:00pm on Friday evening and depart Sunday afternoon at 1:00pm.
What are the housing arrangements? Will my group be housed together?
Your group will stay together in camper housing, with at least one leader staying in the cabins with the campers. Housing is cabin style, with campers sleeping in bunk beds.
Are meals included?
Yes, all meals are included, starting with breakfast on Saturday and going through lunch Sunday (5 meals total). Our chefs are all ServSafe certified.
How do I register my group?
Fill out a simple form telling us about your group and your estimated number of campers. We require a $25 deposit per estimated camper to hold your spot. Your $25/person deposit also locks in your early bird rate for all group members when you register by October 31. Final payment for all students is due upon arrival at camp.
If you are an individual signing up as part of a group, you can register at https://berea.campbrainregistration.com/.
How do my students register?
Once you register your group, we’ll provide you with a registration link to send your students who plan to attend camp. This is where they will fill out health forms, waivers, etc.
We do not collect payment from students when they register. Group leaders are responsible for collecting payment from their group members and paying the balance for all campers in their group upon arrival at camp.
